Bike ride for Alzheimer's Society

From Monday 23rd June to Friday 27th June, the team at PHD Mechanical, including our CEO, will be swapping desks for pedals as we take on a huge team challenge: cycling 458.9 miles on a static bike – the equivalent of travelling from London to Scotland – all in support of a charity that’s incredibly close to our hearts: Alzheimer’s Society.

We’ll be clocking up the miles over five days, racing against the clock and pushing ourselves to the limit, all with one shared goal – to raise as much money as we can for an organisation doing life-changing work every single day.

Why We’re Riding

Dementia is one of the biggest health challenges facing the UK today. It affects nearly 1 million people across the country – a number that is sadly expected to rise as the population ages. But behind every statistic is a real person, a family, and a story.

For many of us at PHD Mechanical, this is personal. We’ve seen the impact dementia can have – not just on the person living with it, but on their loved ones, carers, and communities. That’s why we’re coming together to take on this challenge, united in our determination to make a difference.

About Alzheimer’s Society

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives by providing help for today and hope for tomorrow.
